Hello dear one, Over the past few weeks, I taught three masterclasses on imprints, the patterns we arrive with, laid down before words, that shape how we start, how we leave, how we wait, and how we come back into connection. I want to make sure you have all three, because there's something in them for everyone. No cost, watch now, 30-minutes or less masterclasses! For parents: how your child's earliest story shows up in the moments that feel hardest, and how understanding it changes the relationship, not the child.
For curious adults: your own beginning, and how it's still shaping the way you move through your days.
For helping professionals: where this begins in the people you serve, and why the work starts with your own story first.
They're each under 30 minutes, so watch whichever calls to you when you have a quiet half hour. And if one of them stirs something and you'd like to take a deeper look at a story close to home: The Back to Birth Workshop for Parents is this Saturday, August 29. A small group, three hours, where we take your own child's story, and yours, and look gently at where a pattern might live and how to meet it. Pay-what-you-can, so cost doesn't keep anyone out.
The Curious Adults Workshop follows Saturday, September 5, for exploring your own beginning. Also pay-what-you-can pricing.
And for the practitioners among you, there's a professional path that includes both workshops plus a call for professionals to bring your questions about client work. (If this is financially out of reach, message me and we'll find a way to make it work. I am committed to making my resources accessible.)
Here's a moment from one of the live calls to give you a little taste: On one of the masterclasses, my colleague Jen and I talked about something that surprises people. We were both born by emergency C-section. But our patterns couldn't be more different. My compression comes at the ending. I plan and plan, but it's the ending that can be hard for me to complete. Jen's comes two-thirds of the way through, she suddenly needs to be done now, and rushes the middle, but has no trouble ending. (And that's a big part of why we work well together!) As Jen put it: "We had very similar C-section births from the outside. But the way that shows up in our patterns is not the same. And it matters, because what I need and what Rebecca needs are not the same." That's the whole thing, right there. You can't read someone's birth and know how their story is showing up for them. You have to make space for it to show itself from the inside out. And the most important part is discovering what is needed right now to support yourself or your child in a new way with that new information. And that's exactly what we do in the workshop. Wherever you are with all of this, whether you watch a teaching, come to a workshop, or simply sit with the ideas a while, I'm glad you're here, exploring how we begin and how we heal. Be curious. Be kind. Start with yourself. Warmly, Rebecca |

Hello dear one, Last week I told you about the circles that are beginning, and about the current that runs through them: give and receive, in-breath and out-breath, no fixed giver and no fixed receiver. This week I want to go a little deeper, into what that actually asks of us, because it's something our culture doesn't teach, and I think that's part of why these circles are needed. Most of us were raised inside a transactional market system. I pay, you provide, we're square, and we owe each...
Hello dear one, I am making a big change in the way I'm doing things, starting with some new ways you can receive support. It feels exciting and alive and more aligned with my work. Maybe I'm finally catching up to myself?! That could be super fun. I've been thinking a lot about what makes a relationship, a group, or a situation feel truly alive, and I keep coming back to one word: reciprocity. I've seen this in groups that thrive, couples where the relationship is flourishing, even...
Hello dear one, For weeks, we've been exploring imprints together, the patterns we each hold in our bodies and that come out in ways we weren't taught to see or understand. It's the work that was explained to me and I didn't understand, but trusted that my mentor, Ray Castellino, knew something that I didn't know yet. And once you see it, you can't unsee it and it has been the thing that helps me to understand myself and those around me in a different, more compassionate way. So I'm excited...
