Hello dear one, Just a quick note before the weekend: the Fall Equinox Radical Rest Retreat begins tomorrow, this Friday, September 18, at 12pm EDT, and there's still room if you'd like to join us. You don't have to be ready. You don't have to clear the whole weekend. You can drop in for one call, rest for an hour, or take part in whatever way fits your actual life. The whole point is that slowing down even a little, even imperfectly, can show you something you couldn't see while you were moving. And one of the most important reasons we're doing this? It's a pause. I've been talking about the pause since before 2007 because it's HOW we make changes in our lives. It's how we change the way we're parenting or showing up in a relationship. It's how we can interrupt patterns that we're repeating that aren't working for us. A reaction is the opposite of a pause. If you want to show up differently, you need to do something differently. Here's your opportunity to discover more about yourself and what works for you. This weekend is about learning to slow down, learning what happens when you try to pause in whatever way feels right for you, and to have company in the sharing. We gather for two live calls- one at the beginning and one at the end. The rest of the time you're exploring on your own. It's the equinox, the still point of the year, a natural moment to pause and ask how you really are as we move into the last season of 2026. It's offered on a sliding scale, so you can choose what fits. And if you feel called to be there and the cost isn't possible right now, just write to me. The number has never been the point.
However you spend your weekend, I hope you find a little rest in it. Warmly, Rebecca P.S. Have questions? Not sure if it is for you? Please hit reply and let me know what's on your mind. I'll reply back personally. |
Reflections on rest, relationships, nervous systems, and being human, sent with care to those who want to stay close to the work.
Hello dear one, A couple of weeks ago, we gathered for our first community circle, and the theme that wanted to come through was reciprocity. I give, you receive. You give, I receive. We started with an example that most of us recognize: with the pay-it-forward coffee. Maybe you remember that trend of buying a Starbucks for the stranger behind you in line? It's a lovely impulse. I know it made me feel like there was more kindess in the world! But I realized that person being gifted a coffee...
A gentle note before you read this: This letter mentions infant loss. If that is a tender subject, please take care of yourself and read when you're ready or not at all. Hello dear one, Nineteen years ago, I started The Consciously Parenting Project on my son Jacob's birthday. Jacob came into the world 24 years ago on Sept 21, 2002 at 10am and he left at noon. He had a neural tube defect that was incompatible with life. He was born at home right after the heat of summer broke as tornadoes...
Hello dear one, Just a quick note: our very first community circle is tomorrow, Saturday, September 12, at 1:00pm EDT. About 90 minutes, on Zoom. It's a gentle, welcoming space, come to share, to ask, or simply to listen. There's nothing to prepare and nothing you have to say. Come as you are, for as much or as little as feels right. By donation, and everyone is welcome. If you'd like to join us, save your spot here and we'll send you the link: Save My Spot! I would love to have you join us!...
